11 - 18 February 2012 We enjoyed coming back to Puffins. A home from home and a lovely welcome awaited us - much appreciated. The weather was dry but a little windy but we still managed to go on The Duchess to St. Mawes. We had a lovely Sunday lunch at St. Michaels hotel and superb Valentine evening at the Greenbank Hotel. One blot on the landscape was that the 'Free parking on Wednesday' promotion was misleading as it only referred to 2 car parks and we parked in the wrong one. So Rick Stein's fish & chips turned out to be very pricey. Apart from that the week spent at Puffins in Falmouth was perfect.
31 January - 4 February 2012 Great place, excellent attention to detail. Cold weather but sunny. We're here to celebrate Nigel's 60 birthday, feel relaxed and refreshed. He had a lovely reflexology session in town. Great meal at the Thai restaurant. Puffins lovely and warm, got everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Comfy bed for a great night's sleep. Thank you Mary Lynn, Geoff and Shelley.

21 - 31 January 2012 This is our first visit to Cornwall. We're so impressed with the many quaint ports and villages and so many friendly people. We always, however, look forward to returning to Puffins with its great views. Thank you for the use of your Rover. So may wonderful mem- ories from Port Isaac, Looe, Polperro, Mevagissy. We are so appreciative of your generous gesture. Hope we will return some day.

14 - 21 January 2012 Puffins, as usual, has worked magic. This really is the perfect bolt-hole. I've spent the time here alone - yet never felt lonely - watching the harbour is an endless fascination and the business standard con- nection has enabled me to keep my clients happy at the same time as taking a break and some time out from the day-to-day to do some much needed thinking and planning for the business & me. I've lost the number of times I've visited Puffins, but each time I am captivated by the magic of this little bijou jewel - I will be back. Thank you Mary Lynn.

27 Dec 2011 - 3 Jan 2012 Our second visit to Falmouth at this special time of year. A fantastic place to relax and unwind after a Christmas enter- taining the family.
Puffins far outstrips all other accommodation in Falmouth - you so deserve your Gold Award.
Although it rained all week we still enjoyed the great views. We too have visited most of the places already mentioned by your other guests - all well worth a visit. Our favorite eating place is Olivers - small, friendly & great great food, but booking is advised. The Boathouse is a great place for an early evening drink - and the bar games are great fun too. A great time had by the both of us.
- David & Laura, Basing- stoke
P.S Mary Lynn the radiators are perfect!
10 - 17 December 2011 We had a lovely time in Puffins over the past week, despite the more 'traditional' rainy English weather. The [new] heaters seemed fine to work with, and we managed to make Puffins cosy even during the hailstorms which we could watch through the large window.
So it rained all week - it may have prevented us from using the balcony but it couldn't ruin our days wandering around town, the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Eden Project & Trebah Gardens - Oh and St. Ives and Pendennis Castle. How lucky Falmouth is to have so many lovely eateries - BOOK ALL IN ADVANCE!!
5 - 12 November 2011 The apartment is exceptional and beautiful with the lovely harbour views. We have enjoyed our stay and thank you for the wine and biscuits etc. This is a very nice touch. We will come again and tell our friends what an exceptional apartment Puffins is. Thank you again.
29 Oct - 3 Nov 2011 We have enjoyed our holiday in your delightful apartment. This has been a great place to end our 11 weeks of travel around the USA and England.
We saw so many lovely places in Cornwall from Boscastle in the north to Lizard Point to the south. Looe in the east to Mousehole in the west (where we had the best cream tea at 2 Fore Street) Our favourites were Polperro, Mevagissy, Fowey, Port Issac & St Ives but it was always good to come 'home' to such a lovely place each evening. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us.
P.S The wild weather made viewing places like Kynance Cove and Lizard Point spectacular.
22 - 29 Oct 2011 Lovely first impression which lasted all week. What better than wine and yellow roses to welcome us?
Very stylish, well equipped - we shall be back.
15 - 22 Oct 2011 This is our eighth consecutive visit in Falmouth and our second at Puffins. However, its the first time we've been in October. It was great to catch the end of the Oyster Festival. The weather was surprisingly good - certainly better than August weather we've had here for the previous two years.
The view from the terrace is always changing, always fantastic as something is always going on. Falmouth itself is a great place, loads of individual shops and places to drink and eat. Over the years, we've visited most of them, but recommendations from this visit include: Two Ten, Clark's, Gurka, Gylly Beach Cafe, Courtyard Deli, Anne's Kitchen, Baker Tom. Like others have mentioned you can get away without using the car; indeed we haven't used ours at all since arriving. The ferry to St. Mawes is always pleasant day out. We visited there at least once per visit and there are plenty of easy enough walks: into and around Penryn, Flushing and Mylor, Pendennis Head, and Swanpool Beach.
The apartment is perfect for a couple. Thank you for the flowers, wine, coffee & biscuits. As long as this apartment is available I can't see any reason why I'd stay anywhere else in Fal- mouth in future.
8 - 15 Oct 2011 The apartment is as it says on the website. Fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. The view from both levels is stunning. The boat trip to Truro was worthwhile. We went on the Wednesday when it was the farmers market. We would recommend the Oyster Festival, loads of seafood, ale + cider. There was also local produce market there. We parked the car on arrival and never used it again until we left. There is plenty of ways to get around without driving. Already booked for September next year.
24 Sep - 7 Oct 2011 Once again we have loved being at Puffins ourselves on this semi-annual time in residence, delighting, as always, to walk in and find Puffins spotless and welcoming, with every- thing just as we left it – and all our guests find it – save for the few much appreciated "extras" from our wonderful housekeeper, Shelley.
During this visit, in addition to preparing the terrace garden for Autumn and Winter, we upgraded the facilities by changing out the night storage heaters for efficient electric rad- iators which should ensure uniformly com- fortable temperatures in the flat through the winter. installed a top-of-the-line ceramic hob (which has improved my cooking considerably!), and a Bosch washer-dryer which is a beauty to operate. As on each of these visits, we also have our painter decorator working both inside and out to ensure the flat looks brand new.
Needless to say, with all this work we lived in semi-chaos for much of our stay, but it was sheer delight to get it back together before we left. And it wasn't all work, either: we had wonderful visits with family and friends both old and new and spent the exquisite 1st October weekend walking the coast path, visiting a wonderful find of the Potager Garden and restaurant in High Cross, Constantine, and finally getting to see the spectacular Minack The- atre in Porthcurno.

17 - 24 September 2010 Fab, Fab, Fab - what a wonderful place to stay - so well equipped - Home from home. Location great for walking. Recommend a little guide book for the area called 'Friendly Guide' available at the ferry ticket office. We ate at all the afore mentioned places. Pub next door is good value and atmosphere. Definatley get fish & chips from Harbour Lights - best ever. Weather was kind to us and we had a great week
10 - 17 September 2011 What a wonderful view to wake up to every morning, and we have had the best weather too. What a lovely flat every need catered for. Thank you sharing your home with us, and for the the very welcome pack, biscuits, wine etc.
3 - 10 September 2011 Immaculately presented apartment - all 'mod-cons' and a fabulous view thrown in. This is an excellent base to explore all that Falmouth and the surrounding areas have to offer. We had a lovely meal the The Hut and another at Thai Orchid in Falmouth. We would also recommend a ferry trip to St.Mawes to the castle and sample a meal at the Rising Sun. We were lucky enough to enjoy a sailing in the Tall Ship Mercedes when she was in harbour between 2nd & 4th September - an exhilarating experience. Weather not terribly good this week but we'll be back next year in search for a heatwave! Thank you Mary Lynn & Geoff for giving us the opportunity to enjoy your lovely home.
27 August - 3 September 2011 We've had a fabulous holiday here in Falmouth. The 'Puffins' apartment was perfect in every way. Beautifully appointed, great location and very quiet and relaxing. Hope we may be back again.
20 - 27 August 2011 A great time had by both of us. The apartment is fab, and in a great location. Amazing views! Falmouth is a great town, lots to do and see, will come back again.
13 - 20 August 2011 Thank you very much for a lovely stay! There is so much to do in Cornwall, and the flat is in such an ideal location. Would greatly recommend a trip to St. Mawes, and Eden Project is brilliant, lots to see. Also St.Ives was beautiful.
Ridiculously busy though! Thanks.
6 - 13 August 2011 We have had a wonderful time in Falmouth, in Puffins and at the lovely coast path. Thank you for all.
30 July - 6 August 2011 We had a lovely week in this well-equipped apart- ment. Wonderful views of the harbour (this week was special because they were filming at the jetty World War Z with Brad Pitt) We went on various trips but especially we liked the village Mousehole. We loved watching your DVD Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, especially in this Cornish atmosphere.
Thanks.
We hebben een heel mooie week gehad in Puffins. Het is een luxe appartement, gelegen aan de mooie High Street in Falmouth: alles is echt op loopafstand. Het uitzicht op de baai is prachtig.
16 - 30 July 2011 After a very long journey from Australia, we just lounged, relaxed and recovered for a few days especially as the weather was very cold and wet. The apartment was extremely well-equipped and comfortable and the pub next door very handy with cheap food. We enjoyed touring around on public transport as we decided not to hire a car. St Ives was so busy and crowded, but the local ferries to Truro and Flushing were delightful. Nine beaches also after a short bus ride. Went by bus to St Austell to visit our friends. Our second week put on better weather. Thanks Mary Lynn.
9 - 16 July 2011 Visiting Puffins for our honeymoon - after a stressful few weeks of wedding planning. Upon arrival we fell in love with the view! The welcoming touches were so thoughtful & the apart- ment was immaculate. Having spent most of the week relaxing and unwinding (& eating) our recommendations for dining out would be: The Wheel House, Olivers, Clarks, Rick Steins, Harbour View and Samphire - although we had lovely evenings in all of them. The chips at Harbour Lights are delicious especially with a pint at The Tap. The Maritime Museum is well worth a visit as are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Padstow is charming. (Prescadou has fantastic mussels) We also returned to Pendennis Castle for tea & gorgeous views. We had a wonderful stay pottering along the High Street & thoroughly recommend Kings Pipe Pasties & the flapjacks at Stones Bakery. Finally, Hand Bee Bar is so friendly. We'll be back in October for the Beer Festival!
2 - 9 July 2011 This was, I think, my fifteenth visit to Fal- mouth and the sixth property I have rented. None was better pre- sented than this.
25 June - 2 July 2011 A gorgeous apartment very well equipped and with comfortable chairs - much appreciated! We have eaten well locally and today we found The Red Lion at Mawnan Smith - delightful. Given the wonderful location we see ourselves returning again and again - Falmouth is a great 'hub' We have really appreciated the planning and thoughtful detail in this lovely place - many thanks.
P.S Enjoyed the DVDs
18 - 25 June 2011 This was our second visit to Puffins, and once again everything was 'just right'. We won't be back next year as we like to vary where we go, in fact Puffins is the only place we have returned to. However we are certainly not ruling it out in future.
11 - 18 June 2011 Falmouth is a lovely place - we've never been before.
And we saw it all before us as we opened Puffins' door, with everything we needed to make our break complete.
Except, perhaps, the weather and a spa bath for our feet!
We didn't use the car much and walked for miles and miles.
But to come back here to Puffins, couldn't help but raise our smiles.
We loved Pendennis Castle and enjoyed the Museum too.
With lots of trips out on the boats - and that never ending view!
It's time to end our stay here and leave this Cornish Gem.
You deserve your Gold Star rating, it really is 10 out of 10!
Thank you
4 - 11 June 2011 Thoroughly enjoyed our third stay here. The changing light over the harbour, especially in the mornings, and a full rainbow one evening whilst visiting The Star & Garter for our evening meal were especially wonderful.
Can recommend 'La Dolce Vita', 'Harbour View' (their sticky toffee pudding especially) 'Two Ten', 'Star & Garter' (on monday evening with jazz) and fish and chips in the restaurant at The Lizard.
The attention to detail in the flat much appreciated with welcome flowers, wine etc. Used the balcony at the beginning of the week but intermittent showers the last few days.
28 May - 4 June 2011 Attractive, compact and well equipped apartment. Love the view.
During our week in Falmouth we enjoyed:
* a really nice meal at The Hut restaurant * excellent fish and chips at Harbour Lights
* walking on the Roseland Pennisula via ferries to St Mawes and then again to Place
* visiting Trelissick and Glendurgan Gardens * a guided tour at Pendennis Castle * Swanpool Beach Cafe * wonderful vegetarian food at Pea Souk * real ale and cider at The Front Pub
21 - 28 May 2011 We have had a great week at Puffins. The welcome pack was appreciated. Fantastic apartment in a fantastic location.
14 - 21 May 2011 We have just enjoyed a delightful week at Puffins. Thank you for the warm welcome, with the wine, flowers, tea and biscuits, which were much needed after the long day of travel!!
The flat is very clean and well equipped (love the Cappuchino maker). The wi-fi was great: it allowed us to keep in contact with our relatives in Canada. The view on a clear day is unrivalled - so nice.
The location of the flat is ideal for Falmouth and the surrounding areas in Cornwall. My mother & I particularly recommend Pendennis Castle (walking distance) and its Sister Castle, St Mawes (ferry ride across) as day trips. There are some excellent eateries close to Puffins. We found Rowes pastries & pasties to be particularly good. The Star & Garter has scrumptious food (Sunday roasts are yummy) and the fish and chips at Harbour Lights by the Discovery Quay are delicious. Thank you for sharing your incredible flat with us!
7 - 14 May 2011 After 3 days of flying from Australia it was truly wonderful to walk in and feel right at home with only a few food stuffs to buy. Well done and a heartfelt thank you for the warm welcome. Reading 'Du Maurier's Cornwall' was a delight as, being a English teacher, it was an interesting insight into her life. Travelling around the villages via the 'other roads' was great, despite the numerous 'back-ups' when meeting oncoming traffic. After the days outing it was always pleasurable to return to the warm, cosy environment of Puffins. Congratulations on the presentation of your property and your choice of position. It enables the traveller to access so much.
16 April - 7 May 2011 What a joy it was to walk into Puffins again and find it looking and feeling "like new" three years since we renovated, and more than 200 guests later!
Actually Puffins now feels better than new, with subtle improvements and the small, cherished gifts which have found their way in with stories attached. Our heartfelt appreciation to all our guests who have taken such good care of Puffins, and enormous thanks to Shelley, our housekeeper, who ensures that Puffins is as pristine and welcoming for all our guests as we find it ourselves.
This has been a particularly enjoyable visit for us, with two sets of family – each with five members – and several friends coming down to Cornwall to visit with us over Easter. The weather was superb and we had a wonderful time visiting both old haunts and new (to us) venues.
One especially enjoyable experience was the gift of a few extra hours in St. Mawes on a perfect day with an exquisite lunch at the Hotel Tresanton with the author of a biography of my great uncle, the cricket player Tom Richardson, which will be published next year for the 100th anniversary of Tom's death. Those into cricket might know that Tom held the fast-bowling record for something like 97 years, and was certainly one of the most popular sportsmen of his day. Another wonderful experience was the boat trip up the river to Trelissick with family on Easter Day. And yet another was catching the 16 acres of bluebells in the ancient Enys Woods (a mere 10 minutes from Puffins) at their very peak.
Now that our first Guest Book is full, we welcome you to the second volume and look forward to your comments. The guest books are always well read (Shelley confesses she makes a bee-line for it when she first comes in for the changeover!) Your experiences with rest- aurants and places to visit are always well appreciated.

9 - 16 April 2011 As the previous guests, the best equipped and detailed apartment we've stayed in. Mainly came to visit our son who's at University in Falmouth. Spent a few days on visits around the area. All in all a pleasant week.
2 - 9 April 2011 Probably the most thoughtfully equipped holiday cottage we've ever used - an excellent base for Falmouth and this part of Cornwall. And the weather has been even better, absolutely astonishing for April. We were less impressed with Olivers than most people seem to be. Every course followed the same pattern four (or so) variations on the same thing - so a duck main course is four variations of duck meat (with almost nothing else) and so on. We liked Pea Souke better, its vegetarian and tiny, but the food is tasty and interesting. Its in Well Lane off Church Street. Thank you Mary Lynn & Geoff.
26 March - 2 April 2011 Our second visit to Puffins and it was great to find everything as good as before. Weather not so good but really enjoyed this week. Caerhays garden was magnificent and the Maritime Museum is recommended for a rainy day! Thank you again for making this a comfortable and welcoming apartment.
7 - 12 March 2011 We could only have 5 days here in this lovely little apartment. Could have stayed forever! So well fitted out & the attention to detail is AWESOME!!! We are down here looking for our own place in Cornwall & if we could make it half as good as this - we'd have done well. Many thanks.
19 - 26 February 2011 The apartment has been fantastic and we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We hope to return soon. The Wheelhouse - 01326 318080 - is fantastic for seafood but needs booking as early as possible. We return to Falmouth often and so will book again.
12 - 19 February 2011 We spent a very enjoyable week at The Puffins. The weather was not perfect but we still enjoyed our second stay here. The welcome was brilliant: flowers, wine, chocs, tea and coffee, and fresh milk. As well, all the little goodies were above expectations. A perfect Valentine holiday spent in a perfect apartment.
9 - 12 February 2011 What a delightful, comfortable apartment to stay in, with lots of lovely touches. Shame it rained all three days though. I am sure the view would have been wonderful! I'll have to come back in the summer to appreciate it. Olivers Restaurant is lovely.
29 January - 1 February 2011 Fantastic, charming little apartment. Dedication to detail - detailed checkout instructions, perfectly maintained furnished apartment, all mod cons, immaculate housekeeping, perfect! Feels like a proper home! Had a good time here - took the ferry to St Mawes, visited Pendennis and St Mawes Castle, Trebah Gardens etc. The weather had been par- ticularly good considering that its the middle of winter - sunny spells on several days. Hope to come back some day.
25 - 29 January 2011 We had a lovely stay in Puffins. We visited the record office in Truro twice doing family history research and visited family in Falmouth and Par. Visited Da Vinci's for an excellent birthday celebration meal, (thank you for the bottle of wine!) Puffins was an excellent base for our stay & with all the comforts of home. Thank you.
28 December 2010 - 4 January 2011 We love Puffins. At our first step into Puffins, we were impressed with the welcome gifts, the sea view from the balcony, the well furnished flat and the flowers, not to mention the electronic candles. They are out of our expectations. We won't fall short in Puffins with all the appliances are ready to hand we can prepare meals and do some cleansing work. Its a wonderful journey in Falmouth, we visited the castle and The Eden Project. We also went to Truro, St Austel and St Ives. The beaches in St Ives are beautiful. We have tried pastries in the Presto and fish and chips in Rick Steins. They taste good. We hope it won't be too long to be here again, not until my son's finished his study in Falmouth. Thanks a lot! [Guests from Hong Kong]
24 - 28 December 2010 Had a lovely Christmas in Puffins. Superb [flat] with great views!! Brought back sailing memories, especially visiting The Pandora. Would love to return to Puffins in the summer months.
11 - 18 December 2010 Love Puffins. Week of contrast! Some great sunny days for walking and eating lunch outside in St Mawes to snow the end of the week. Spent far too much time watching the river go by and the boats! But that makes it very relaxing and a good place to chill! We will be back I'm sure. The new Rick Stein's good for eating and the Chain Locker, Pizza Express good for views!
29 November - 3 December 2010 Donny, Mal & Kodi have had a lovely restful time. Thanks for the wine for our Wedding Anniversary, it was lovely. Kodi thanks you for allowing him to stay, he slept at the bottom of the stairs and made no attempt to go upstairs or into the kitchen! He would have stayed on the patio forever! Thanks again.
16 - 30 October 2010 To Mary Lynn & Geoff,
There's not much more we can say about Puffins, you both know how much we enjoy our holidays here. My granddaughter Megan has been impressed with facility for her laptop and music. This is her first visit to Cornwall & I am sure she will be back. She loves your bed & the ever changing views from the window. A big thanks you for the little extras left for us. We both hope the weather is kind to you & you have an enjoyable stay in you lovely flat. Thanks again.
9 - 16 October 2010 Our first stay at The Puffins & will not be our last! We have been to Falmouth several times in the past & still think it is a fantastic place. Can't wait to come back to Falmouth & The Puffins. Thanks for a great holiday.
2 - 9 October 2010 Our second stay in Puffins and as expected. We just love the ambiance of the place. The weather sunny and warm and we leave here relaxed and happy. We will be back soon.
11 - 18 September 2010 Had a fantastic week staying at Puffins. We loved the apartment. The views are great, especially the sunrise watching it from the comfort of the lovely balcony. Falmouth is a great town with plenty to keep us occupied and entertained. The Chain Locker pub is worth a visit with spectacular views over the marina on a warm day. There are plenty of good days out. Visiting Land's End and Lizard Point is well worth it. We will visit Puffins again.
4 - 11 September 2010 A great stay - very comfortable. Star & Garter good fun - 2 10 Restaurant very good.
21 - 28 August 2010 We have had a brilliant week - thank you so much! What a lovely apartment - we really appreciated the 'extra touches' e.g extra light bulbs, cling film, t- towels, etc., etc.
Wonderful views!! Super area for coastal walks + generally exploring / sight seeing. Boat trip to Truro was really good. Lovely meals in 'The Prince Of Wales' + 'Chain Locker' - real 'character pubs' St Mawes ferry trip + Helford River Boat trip were also brilliant! We have enjoyed not having to drive very much this week! Thanks again for a fantastic holiday - we'll be back!!
14 - 21 August 2010 Our 7th visit to Falmouth in the last 6 years, but our first visit to Puffins and indeed our first visit to this end of town. The apartment was perfect. In addition to all the basics being right, so many small touches we've appreciated. Thank you for the welcome pack and flowers. The ever changing view from the terrace is a never ending joy. The Old High Street is an area full of quirky, individual shops and has something to suit all tastes: antiques to vintage clothes to books to food. Our own favourites here were Stones Bakery, Cafe Cinnamon and Jam - an individual music, film, book store and coffee shop that will interest you if you like music and film that's not main- stream. Oliver's has been mentioned elsewhere in this book and its easy to see why: a husband and wife team delivering high end restaurant experi- ence. You'll need to book to guarantee a table there though. Other restaurants I'd recom- mend are Sapphire (for those who know Falmouth, it used to be Bodens). Two Ten is also highly recommended by us, but hidden away as it has no frontage apart from a single door, so often missed. The Chain Locker is a Falmouth Institution and enjoying a drink outside watching the world go by is a must for one hour of your stay. Five Degrees West has not been mentioned here which is a surprise. A bar and grill with reasonably priced, but good food and a wide selection of wines and beers. You don't need to use your car here. We haven't used ours once. There is plenty to see and do locally and the numerous ferries are a great way to get around. The National Maritime Museum is a must visit, the castles at Pendennis and St. Mawes are also worth a visit. Others have mentioned the various attractions in the rest of Cornwall, which we'd also endorse (from previous trips) All in all another great holiday in Falmouth and we hope to return next year.
7 - 14 August 2010 Everything about this apartment is perfect. We have loved every moment of our stay during Falmouth Week, but especially being able to see the Red Arrows Display from the lovely patio and as a grand finale the firework display from the same fantastic view point - wonderful! We look forward to future visits at 'Puffins' Many Thanks.
31 July - 7 August 2010 Perfect! Can't think of anything needed to improve the accom-modation and/or setting. The welcome pack was most appreciated. Many thanks.
24 - 31 July 2010 Packet Quays, a place of delights
Perfect location for exploring the sights
Plenty of places to visit & see
For both of us, my partner Mark and me
The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning
Although the sea gulls are noisy and quite cunning!
The coastline and boats and sparkling water
Puffins apartment that you just can't faulter
All in all our stay was divine
Even the weather managed to stay fine
Thank you so much for letting us stay
And we would love to return sometime if we may?
P.S All the effort made to make the apartment comfortable & welcoming very much appreciated! x
17 - 24 July 2010 Had a great time here at Puffins, lovely apartment with great views. Food at Olivers fantastic. Had some great days out, went to Scilly Isles, Looe, Polperro & St. Ives.
10 - 17 July 2010 3rd return & it just gets better with new additions by Mary Lynn. Weather could have been better but at least the flowers appreciated the rain. As ever, many thanks for the spotless presentation & the welcome tray etc. Always a pleasure to return which will be soon.
26 June - 3 July 2010 What can I say the hasn't been said before? Simply the best apartment I have ever stayed in. Whoever looks after it is welcome to move into my house and sort it out! Had no desire to use the car until the last day here, being able to get around so easily on the water and buses, for once me being green, quite a result! Lots of good restaurants around. Had a great lobster night at Le Bistro, did Rick's fish and chips, but I think Clark's is a much better bet. If you like Indian, try the Ghurka in the square - a bit different to the normal curry. All in all a great time. Off to the Scillys now. I am sure I will do again.
19 - 26 June 2010 We have been to Cornwall on many occasions but this has been by far the best accommodation, location & weather! What a great apartment, and so clean. Thank you for the drinks for our arrival, very much appreciated. We have enjoyed relaxing on the patio, enjoying the view & plants, which have certainly needed plenty of water this week. Recommendations for other guests:
Porthcurnow + Minack Theatre and Godrevey on the north coast. Re previous comments last week about the builders: no noise at all & scaffolding now coming down. A very quiet location. Will be back. Thank you.
12 - 19 June 2010 Our very first holiday in Cornwall and WOW!
Top class apartment, perfectly compact with everything we could possibly need for a great week away. Stunning views but slightly disappointed when a band of builders moved in next-door-but-one and curtailed our breakfasts al fresco. This said, we came down on our motorcycle, so too much to see and do to hang around the apartment. Weather amazing so we've been to some fantastic places. Highly recommend visiting The Minack Theatre at Porthcurnow - stunning cliff side location; Eden Project - a photographers dream; Mousehole, Fowey and Mevagissey. A sail on the St. Mawes ferry is a must a complete chill out experience and we even witnessed a dolphin display there and back. Had lovely meals at The Hut, The Warehouse & Harbour Lights do fab fish 'n' chips either eat in or take away but WARNING.....those monster seagulls plan their attack with military precision and are relentless in their pursuit of your food!! All in all a fantastic week. Thanks Mary Lynn & Geoff.
5 - 12 June 2010 A great flat - lovely views and spotless. Enjoyed meals at the marina restaurant - bit of a walk but nice sitting in the sun watching the boats. Good places we stopped off at are Porthleven (nice harbour) and Mevagissy, both unspoiled places. Also The Lizard - lovely, and free!! Not like Land's End or St Ives, which we thought were over-priced and over-hyped and too commercial. Both castles here and at St Mawes are good, even just to walk to. Weather has been mixed, but lovely sitting on the balcony in the morning watching the boats.
29 May - 5 June 2010 The 'Perfect Pad'! We chose Puffins for the location, views and spec and it delivered us all three. Immaculately presented, clean & spotless and kitted out with everything we needed. Really appreciated the biscuits and pint of milk upon arrival. Great to have the iPod on whilst sunning ourselves on the balcony. The Tupperware boxes were used nearly everyday for picnics. Thoroughly recommend 'Olivers' Eatery just down the High Street on the left - wonderful food & great service! Completely disagree with a previous comment regarding expensive meals in Falmouth - we found all our meals reasonably priced - you get what you pay for! Caught the ferry to Truro, St. Mawes and Place-Roseland Walk - lovely!!
Tip for the coming guests: if considering a trip to St.Ives (beautiful beaches & very touristy) use the park and ride (catch the train not the bus) We made the mistake of trying to get a space in the carpark, failed miserably, and ended up back at the park and ride - having wasted an hour of our day. Weather has been great all week, however, we have struggled to make the most of it in the mornings as the bed is sooooo comfortable!! Wish we could take it back with us!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful apartment with us!
22 - 29 May 2010 It's easy to get around this corner of Cornwall without using your car. The buses and ferries are reliable, thereby saving you the hassle of driving and finding a parking space. If you love gardens Glendurgan is spectacular, especially at this time of year: rhododendrons, bluebells and palm trees! And there is a little gem in St. Mawes: Lamorran Gardens, only open Wednesday and Fridays tho. For vegetarians, Da Vinci's has a reasonable selection of dishes which is unusual for Italian restaurants. And the Hut has a couple of tasty dishes too.
15 - 22 May 2010 Faultless!
Lovely restaurant on High Street, Olivers. Very good food, especially at lunch time.
17 - 24 April 2010 A week of wonderful sunshine. We have really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable apartment, very conveniently sit- uated for visiting many lovely Cornish gardens. Managed to photograph some amazing sunrises. Worth getting up at 6:15! We really appreciated the 'welcome tray' and all the amenities in 'Puffins'. Thank you.
10 - 17 April 2010 This holiday was a treat for my 40th (gulp) birthday. A beautiful flat with every amenity imaginable. Lying in bed watching the sun rise and set was the best present possible. Enjoyed the boats and the castles, but most of all I enjoyed the all day bus passes that enabled me to crawl all over Cornwall. There is no better way to see the countryside and the coast from the top of a double decker bus. Could not have asked for better weather. I never expected to be sunburnt in England in April. Typically it is due to rain on the day I go home.
27 March - 3 April 2010 Weather mixed but a great flat to watch the world go by from. Comments - it's all been said before. Thanks and hope to come back some time.
20 - 27 March 2010 A wonderful holiday here in Falmouth again. We love your amazing flat - so well designed and presented. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from taking most of our meals out on to the terrace but the view is spectacular whatever the weather. A memorable week. Thank you.
13 - 20 March 2010 We are regular visitors to Falmouth, but previously with family - this is the first visit as a couple. Puffins has exceeded our expectations by miles - so, thank you for allowing us to share your lovely property. Quite fabulous. Comfy, cosy and still enjoying the advantages of Admirals Quay where we always stay anyway. We recommended The Hut as a good place to eat.
6 - 11 March 2010 Visiting our son in Falmouth, a lovely stay, unbelievably good weather! Really enjoyed reading everyone's com-ments. Agree it is a delightful 'pad; waking up to that view bathed in sunshine after the long cold winter has been a tonic. The flat is so 'perfectly framed' & agree with all who've gone before us
27 February - 6 March 2010 In Falmouth for one week visiting my daughter in her final year at University having staying in Puffins 2 years ago and completely fallen in love with the location. I have now even more affection for this beautiful apartment. The transformation brought about by Mary Lynn is remarkable and extremely skilled and her attention to detail is nothing less than perfect. Tranquil hideaway in the centre of town has made my week restorative and very special. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous place with me. New visitors to Falmouth should make sure they include a visit to the Maritime Museum in their itinerary and the Chain Locker pub is an absolute must for good food and even better beer. I recommend the Sharps Special. The Thai Orchard served us an excellent meal this week as did Da Vinci's. I recommend them both. I loved my week here and will be back ...
13 - 20 February 2010 Once again we have had a lovely week. It feels just like home when we arrive here. The weather has been kind to us, enabling us to spend time at Swanpool and Trebah with our grandson,George; he had great pleasure in showing us how he could ride his new bike from Santa. It is lovely to visit the family in Mylor Bridge. My four grandsons seem to grow so from one visit to the next. Hopefully we will return in the autumn. Thanks once again for the little extras. They make our stay special.
30 January - 9 February 2010 This is a perfect location for us, being equidistant from the town center and the boat yard, where we are wintering our boat. The apartment is very well equipped with attention to detail really appreciated - especially the extremely comfortable sleeping arrangements. We have thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay, relaxing, reading, visiting the boat and getting to know more of this lovely corner of Cornwall. We'll be back in these parts 'drekly'
29 December 2009 - 2 January 2010 A very late booking. Really appreciated comprehensive details about access and facilities at Puffins. Fantastic views, especially from the bed. Very well equipped. Fortunate with the weather, sunny days ideal for crossing to St.Mawes and visiting Kynance Cove, although temperatures reached -4 degrees at night. Thanks for sharing Puffins with us.
5 - 12 December 2009 A truly memorable week in this beautiful apartment. It was beyond our expectations and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you for a hassle free experience at Puffins.
31 October - 7 November 2009 A really lovely apartment. When we first say "Puffins" on the internet we were impressed. On arrival it even exceeded our expectations. Mary Lynn and Geoff have created a real gem. Clearly a lot of thought and creativity has gone into making "Puffins" a wonderful holiday home. It was a pleasure for us to spend some time here and hopefully we'll be back next year. Thank you for the tea and coffee on arrival and for the folders explaining how all of the appliances operate, etc. Not a stone has been left un-turned in ensuring guest comfort.
17 - 24 October 2009 Second visit this year, this time with a little better weather. Flat is so comfortable and convenient for mooching around Falmouth and is also very warm and cosy. Many thanks for lovely condition of flat and for tea tray, etc.
10 - 17 October 2009 Many thanks for welcoming tea tray of goodies as well as a fresh bouquet of roses. Apartment has all the comforts of home as well as amazing view. One amazing sunrise best viewed upstairs thru the mirror. The all important weather has been mostly warm and sunny.
3 - 10 October 2009 Thanks again for the use of your lovely flat. We felt so at home when we arrived this time. We spent a lot of the week with the family and had a few trips out as well. Hope to be back in the Spring.
5 - 12 September 2009 Had a brilliant time. Apartment was still lovely as ever. Second half of the week weather has been great. The Hut is a brilliant place to eat - nicest steak in the world - and the Noodle Bar is definitely worth a visit too. Until next year.
28 August - 5 September 2009 A perfect apartment. Every detail taken care of - there's no doubting the care that has gone into each aspect of this Falmouth pad. Would recommend 'The Hut' restaurant in town - fantastic food at a great price. 'Harbour Lights' for the best fish n chips in town. We'll be back, hopefully to a drier Falmouth next time. p.s. Bistro de la Mer is well worth a meal - highly recommend the tiger prawns.
22 - 29 August 2009 We are delighted with the apartment and the attention to detail, very comfortable. Enjoyed a day at Newton Abbott racecourse. Also did a few trips to St Mawes, Lands End and St Ives. Sampled one of the local delicacies in St Ives, Cornish pastie, and was attacked by a seagull. Must be their favourite food. We would definitely recommend the Boat House for drinks as it has fantastic views, the pear cider is also very nice.
Thank you for the use of you apartment and we will definitely come back.
15 - 22 August 2009 What a lovely apartment. Very comfortable and everything we needed. The little notes for switches, etc. were very useful. We have had really nice weather this week and have done loads. St. Ives is lovely, lots of hills and narrow lanes. Lots of arty and crafty shops. Saw 2 seals really close to the beach. Spent the day with a picnic on Maenporth Beach. Visited the Lizard and walked along the coastal path. Amazing views. Went to Kynance Cove, the tide was in, but another amazing view point. Have done an historical walk around Falmouth. Came down Jacobs Ladder - up looked hard work - and visited Glendurgan Gardens. The flat is in the perfect location for the town with it's shops and restaurants and also for getting around and visiting places. Thank you for giving us the chance to use it.
8 - 15 August 2009 Had a lovely week. Weather on and off but so much to see and do it didn't matter. Apartment is great with so many extras and great views. The Red Arrows were absolutely amazing. Will definitely come back.
1 - 8 August 2009 Loved our stay at Puffins. Everything about the apartment was perfect particularly the welcome tea and biscuits, just what we needed after a long drive. Have much enjoyed sitting on the patio particularly in the glorious early morning sunshine. Would highly recommend the boat trip up the Fal and Helford rivers. The Star and Garter next door provides the most delicious pub food. Thank you for a lovely stay in Falmouth. We hope to be back soon.
25 July - 1 August 2009 Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Falmouth is a very good base for exploring this part of Cornwall and Puffins is a lovely base in Falmouth. The weather prevented us from sitting out on the deck, but the view from the bed was probably even better.
11 - 18 July 2009 Ditto for all previous good reviews. Everything thought out to 17th degree. Everything professionally finished. Week of mainly wet weather but still enjoyed Cornwall in all it's moods. Train trip to St.Ives is lovely day out. Hope to return.
4 - 11 July 2009 Wow! The apartment is great. You've thought of everything. Had good weather most of the week, enjoyed boat trip to St Mawes. My only complaint was that we found it expensive to eat out. On saying that, would love to return. By far the best place we have stayed at.
PS The directions to your apartment were great, thanks.
27 June - 4 July 2009 Had a wonderful week (only one wet day). Would recommend visits to St. Mawes and also St. Michaels Mount (lovely beach at Marazion). The Boathouse (up hill opposite) is lively and friendly pub - but there are many others with good food in Falmouth. Enjoyed the views and grateful for milk, etc on arrival. Thank you.
20 - 27 June 2009 We've had a wonderful holiday here in your apartment. Everything has been perfect (even the weather). The location was even better than expected. The view is spectacular and always something to watch. There are so many different restaurants to try,
I didn't bother to cook at all. We loved Harbour View (wonderful steak), Clarks (lovely belly pork special), Cribbs (Jerk chicken & banana). Listen to blues guitar with cocktails in the Tap Room. Used the ferry across and had stunning walk from Flushing along the coast. Not too far to drive to Eden Project and Lost
Gardens of Heligan which we did in a day. Both worth a visit. If time, Kynance Cove is the most wonderful beach, only small, but wonderful rocks - quite stunning I thought, but have to check the tides. Loved the apartment. The huge window is lovely. The mirrors reflect the view beautifully. The decking and flowers made us feel really at home. Many thanks for sharing.
6 - 13 June 2009 We discovered Puffins on an internet search and wow what a discovery. Your own web site gave such a detailed description that when we arrived we thought we had been here before. The lovely flowers and welcome tray were much appreciated. The apartment is excellent with great thought having been given to individual elements so that they come together cleverly in a wonderful design. We particularly loved the panel of themed maritime paintings on the large wall. The view through the cathedral style window is stunning. All we can say is a Thank You for making your apartment available for guests to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are happy to recommend Puffins to others. Harveys Wharf by the Maritime Museum has an excellent daily menu and we would suggest other visitors might like to try it.
30 May - 6 June 2009 Really enjoyed our sunny week at Puffins. Lovely accommodation, view and great location. Appreciated flowers on arrival and beautiful bed linen. Super terrace, watered plants several times.
23 - 30 May 2009 Our umpteenth stay with Cornish Holiday Cottages. One which we have thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you.
16 - 23 May 2009 Wonderful location. Smashing to look out on estuary in the mornings.
The Star and Garter has good entertainment especially on Mondays. The Lizard is a great spot, so is Mevagissey. Leisure Centre lovely if you want to swim. Weather has been great, blue skies, sunny and quite warm at times. Apartment is lovely. Thanks.
9 - 16 May 2009 Have thoroughly enjoyed our week at Puffins. Everything here for our needs. Love the airiness of the apartment. Unfortunately weather not good enough to take advantage of the patio, but plants are thriving with all the rain. We will certainly be back as it is such a convenient location. Many thanks.
2 - 9 May 2009 Great base to enjoy Cornwall from, particularly the gardens, Heligan, Trevano, etc. and the Maritime Museum.
18 - 25 April 2009 We've had a lovely week. The weather has been warm and sunny during the day but chilly in the evening. Falmouth certainly lives up to our last visit. Everything you want and more. Catching the train from Lelant to St.Ives is a treat. Noisy seagulls add to the atmosphere. Flat comfortable with everything you need. Truly a home from home.
11 - 18 April 2009 As the owners we want to thank all our guests who have taken such marvellous care of Puffins - we are so glad you have enjoyed Puffins and Falmouth. The High Street face of the building was being painted while we were in residence and should be looking its best as soon as the scaffolding is down.
We had a busy week visiting family and friends in the Falmouth area, and enlisting the help of several of our craftsmen who worked on last year's renovations to ensure everything is ready for the solid bookings this summer. And we replaced the flowers we had put in for the winter with flowers we hope will give a splash of colour for the summer. We look forward to returning for two weeks in September - and hope to have time then to follow up on many of the suggestions our guests have provided.
4 - 11 April 2009 Indeed an excellent base for a visit to W. Cornwall: comfortable and well-
equipped flat with light & views; Falmouth also an attractive town and base. And the Star & Garter next door is a great pub; has ale, excellent food and good live music, especially the jazz ... Great to have wi-fi and internet access to keep in touch with home and even the office!
28 March - 3 April 2009 We've had a lovely week here - flat has everything we want plus the view! Weather has improved daily. We're sorry to leave a day early but visiting a relative in Wiltshire on the way home. Pity our week coincided with maintenance, but has to be done - hope to return.
21 - 28 March 2009 We have really enjoyed our week in this comfortable flat. The decor and views are excellent. We have been able to spend lots of time with our son and his family in Mylor. Thanks again for everything. We hope to come back soon.
16 - 20 March 2009 We had a lovely week, the weather was fab! The walk along Castle beach to Swanpool is worth it with a cup of tea and toast on the way back. Beautiful views and sea air. The apartment is great for two. Had a great time at Trebah Gardens 20 mins on the T4 bus departs from the Moor. Admission half price if you show the bus ticket. Thank you for the chance to stay at this lovely place.
7 - 14 March 2009 Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Puffins. Lovely apartment with plenty of attention to detail. Views were lovely. Had some great walking and Puffins is in a fab spot for Falmouth pubs and restaurants.
19 - 28 February 2009 Absolutely right for a few days in Falmouth - lovely views. Only problem was the price of eating out in Falmouth - exuberant to say the least. We travel a lot and can eat better and cheaper in London W1 or Paris. But we have enjoyed ourselves.
23 December 2008 - 3 January 2009 What a lovely place - every mod con, beautifully designed and such a lovely location for a New Year break.
Fantastic attention to detail - thank you very much !
8 - 10 November 2008 Despite the weather thoroughly enjoyed the grandstand view of Falmouth Harbour and extremely well fitted out accommodation.
13 - 27 September 2008 A very enjoyable holiday in a comfortable flat with fantastic views; even the weather has been lovely! Thoroughly recommend the ferries to St. Mawes & Truro and the local trip up the Helford River.
6 - 13 September 2008 (Our thanks to Roy & Betty Brotherton for photos taken from Puffins during Tall Ships week. We've included two of them in the slideshow.) We had a wonderful week at Puffins. Hope to visit again sometime in the future. We loved the decor ... it is so "altogether".
[On Saturday] we took up our position along the Falmouth beaches directly from leaving Puffins at 0915hrs. By 1300hrs the entire population of Falmouth was either at some vantage point on land, or in a boat at sea. It was almost total gridlock -- just incredible.
30 August - 6 September 2008 Lovely apartment - beautiful views - very enjoyable & relaxing holiday.
23 - 30 August 2008 We've had a great time staying at Puffins - what a lovely place. Beautiful views and a great location. We have enjoyed walking into town, taking the ferry to St. Mawes and Flushing. It's been nice not have have to rely on the car all the time. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
9 - 16 August 2008 We've had a brilliant time. It's been 15 years since our last visit so we spent much time searching out old haunts. We love your place - tasteful decor and beautiful views across the water and, close proximity to town - the perfect place to relax. I'm sure will be back again. Thanks.
PS Love the art work.
2 - 9 August 2008 We have enjoyed a lovely relaxing week here at Puffins. The flat is very nice and just what we were looking for. Falmouth is a lovely town with some excellent restaurants. Shame it rained for the first four days - that is the English Weather for you!
5 - 12 July 2008 Hope to return next year for 2 weeks. Enjoyable despite the weather. Flat lovely and well equipped.
P.S. Will always remember talking to the Prince of Wales on the Pier!!
28 June - 7 July 2008 Love what you have done with Puffins. The apartment captured our hearts when we came 4 yrs ago. The modifications are perfect with all the equipment we could need. Can't fault the little extras like flowers, tea and coffee etc. which made us feel at home straight away. Hope you have some very happy stays here - delighted to hear there will still be some times when Puffins will be available to rent. Lots of sunshine too!
31 May - 7 June 2008 Our second visit to this flat and a big improvement in the decor and facilities. This made for a very comfortable holiday. Weather was reasonably kind to us only raining one night. Pity about the scaffolding which restricted our use of the balcony, although not much work being done by painters. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
(NOTE: Scaffolding removed shortly after this visit.)
17 - 24 May 2008 Very much enjoyed our stay at Puffins. Weather has been lovely and our visit to local N.T. Gardens and to St.Mawes via ferry all came up to expectations. The apartment standard is very high with everything needed. Nice personal touch with flowers, biscuits etc. We hope to come this way for another holiday.
We enjoyed coming back to Puffins.
Great place, excellent attention to detail.
- Diane and Nigel, Taunton
This is our first visit to Cornwall.
- Kelly & Peter, USA
Puffins, as usual, has worked magic.
- Lesley, Monmouthshire
Our second visit to Falmouth at this special time of year.
We had a lovely time in Puffins over the past week, despite the more 'traditional' rainy English weather.
A selection of photo- graphs I took are available here:
The apartment is exceptional and beautiful with the lovely harbour views. We have enjoyed our stay and thank you for the wine and biscuits etc. This is a very nice touch. We will come again and tell our friends what an exceptional apartment Puffins is. Thank you again.
We have enjoyed our holiday in your delightful apartment.
Lovely first impression which lasted all week. What better than wine and yellow roses to welcome us?
Very stylish, well equipped - we shall be back.
This is our eighth consecutive visit in Falmouth and our second at Puffins.
The apartment is as it says on the website.
24 Sep - 7 Oct 2011
Once again we have loved being at Puffins ourselves on this semi-annual time in residence, delighting, as always, to walk in and find Puffins spotless and welcoming, with every- thing just as we left it – and all our guests find it – save for the few much appreciated "extras" from our wonderful housekeeper, Shelley.
Mary Lynn (& Geoff) - Owners
17 - 24 September 2010
Fab, Fab, Fab - what a wonderful place to stay - so well equipped - Home from home.
What a wonderful view to wake up to every morning, and we have had the best weather too. What a lovely flat every need catered for. Thank you sharing your home with us, and for the the very welcome pack, biscuits, wine etc.
Immaculately presented apartment - all 'mod-cons' and a fabulous view thrown in.
We've had a fabulous holiday here in Falmouth. The 'Puffins' apartment was perfect in every way. Beautifully appointed, great location and very quiet and relaxing. Hope we may be back again.
A great time had by both of us. The apartment is fab, and in a great location. Amazing views! Falmouth is a great town, lots to do and see, will come back again.
Thank you very much for a lovely stay! There is so much to do in Cornwall, and the flat is in such an ideal location. Would greatly recommend a trip to St. Mawes, and Eden Project is brilliant, lots to see. Also St.Ives was beautiful. Ridiculously busy though! Thanks.
We have had a wonderful time in Falmouth, in Puffins and at the lovely coast path. Thank you for all.
We had a lovely week in this well-equipped apart- ment.
After a very long journey from Australia, we just lounged, relaxed and recovered for a few days especially as the weather was very cold and wet.
Visiting Puffins for our honeymoon - after a stressful few weeks of wedding planning.
This was, I think, my fifteenth visit to Fal- mouth and the sixth property I have rented. None was better pre- sented than this.
A gorgeous apartment very well equipped and with comfortable chairs - much appreciated!
This was our second visit to Puffins, and once again everything was 'just right'. We won't be back next year as we like to vary where we go, in fact Puffins is the only place we have returned to. However we are certainly not ruling it out in future.
Falmouth is a lovely place - we've never been before.
Thank you
Thoroughly enjoyed our third stay here.
Attractive, compact and well equipped apartment. Love the view.
During our week in Falmouth we enjoyed:
* a really nice meal at The Hut restaurant
* excellent fish and chips at Harbour Lights
* walking on the Roseland Pennisula via ferries to St Mawes and then again to Place
* visiting Trelissick and Glendurgan Gardens
* a guided tour at Pendennis Castle
* Swanpool Beach Cafe
* wonderful vegetarian food at Pea Souk
* real ale and cider at The Front Pub
We have had a great week at Puffins. The welcome pack was appreciated. Fantastic apartment in a fantastic location.
We have just enjoyed a delightful week at Puffins.
After 3 days of flying from Australia it was truly wonderful to walk in and feel right at home with only a few food stuffs to buy.
What a joy it was to walk into Puffins again and find it looking and feeling "like new" three years since we renovated, and more than 200 guests later!

As the previous guests, the best equipped and detailed apartment we've stayed in. Mainly came to visit our son who's at University in Falmouth. Spent a few days on visits around the area. All in all a pleasant week.
Probably the most thoughtfully equipped holiday cottage we've ever used - an excellent base for Falmouth and this part of Cornwall.
Our second visit to Puffins and it was great to find everything as good as before. Weather not so good but really enjoyed this week. Caerhays garden was magnificent and the Maritime Museum is recommended for a rainy day! Thank you again for making this a comfortable and welcoming apartment.
We could only have 5 days here in this lovely little apartment. Could have stayed forever! So well fitted out & the attention to detail is AWESOME!!! We are down here looking for our own place in Cornwall & if we could make it half as good as this - we'd have done well. Many thanks.
The apartment has been fantastic and we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We hope to return soon. The Wheelhouse - 01326 318080 - is fantastic for seafood but needs booking as early as possible. We return to Falmouth often and so will book again.
We spent a very enjoyable week at The Puffins. The weather was not perfect but we still enjoyed our second stay here. The welcome was brilliant: flowers, wine, chocs, tea and coffee, and fresh milk. As well, all the little goodies were above expectations. A perfect Valentine holiday spent in a perfect apartment.
What a delightful, comfortable apartment to stay in, with lots of lovely touches. Shame it rained all three days though. I am sure the view would have been wonderful! I'll have to come back in the summer to appreciate it. Olivers Restaurant is lovely.
Fantastic, charming little apartment.
We had a lovely stay in Puffins. We visited the record office in Truro twice doing family history research and visited family in Falmouth and Par. Visited Da Vinci's for an excellent birthday celebration meal, (thank you for the bottle of wine!) Puffins was an excellent base for our stay & with all the comforts of home. Thank you.
We love Puffins.
Had a lovely Christmas in Puffins. Superb [flat] with great views!! Brought back sailing memories, especially visiting The Pandora. Would love to return to Puffins in the summer months.
Love Puffins.
Donny, Mal & Kodi have had a lovely restful time. Thanks for the wine for our Wedding Anniversary, it was lovely. Kodi thanks you for allowing him to stay, he slept at the bottom of the stairs and made no attempt to go upstairs or into the kitchen! He would have stayed on the patio forever! Thanks again.
To Mary Lynn & Geoff,
There's not much more we can say about Puffins, you both know how much we enjoy our holidays here.
Our first stay at The Puffins & will not be our last! We have been to Falmouth several times in the past & still think it is a fantastic place. Can't wait to come back to Falmouth & The Puffins. Thanks for a great holiday.
Our second stay in Puffins and as expected. We just love the ambiance of the place. The weather sunny and warm and we leave here relaxed and happy. We will be back soon.
Had a fantastic week staying at Puffins.
A great stay - very comfortable. Star & Garter good fun - 2 10 Restaurant very good.
We have had a brilliant week - thank you so much!
Our 7th visit to Falmouth in the last 6 years, but our first visit to Puffins and indeed our first visit to this end of town.
Everything about this apartment is perfect. We have loved every moment of our stay during Falmouth Week, but especially being able to see the Red Arrows Display from the lovely patio and as a grand finale the firework display from the same fantastic view point - wonderful! We look forward to future visits at 'Puffins' Many Thanks.
Perfect! Can't think of anything needed to improve the accom-modation and/or setting. The welcome pack was most appreciated. Many thanks.
Packet Quays, a place of delights
Perfect location for exploring the sights
Plenty of places to visit & see
For both of us, my partner Mark and me
The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning
Although the sea gulls are noisy and quite cunning!
The coastline and boats and sparkling water
Puffins apartment that you just can't faulter
All in all our stay was divine
Even the weather managed to stay fine
Thank you so much for letting us stay
And we would love to return sometime if we may?
P.S All the effort made to make the apartment comfortable & welcoming very much appreciated! x
Had a great time here at Puffins, lovely apartment with great views. Food at Olivers fantastic. Had some great days out, went to Scilly Isles, Looe, Polperro & St. Ives.
3rd return & it just gets better with new additions by Mary Lynn. Weather could have been better but at least the flowers appreciated the rain. As ever, many thanks for the spotless presentation & the welcome tray etc. Always a pleasure to return which will be soon.
What can I say the hasn't been said before? Simply the best apartment I have ever stayed in. Whoever looks after it is welcome to move into my house and sort it out! Had no desire to use the car until the last day here, being able to get around so easily on the water and buses, for once me being green, quite a result! Lots of good restaurants around. Had a great lobster night at Le Bistro, did Rick's fish and chips, but I think Clark's is a much better bet. If you like Indian, try the Ghurka in the square - a bit different to the normal curry. All in all a great time. Off to the Scillys now. I am sure I will do again.
We have been to Cornwall on many occasions but this has been by far the best accommodation, location & weather!
Thank you.
Our very first holiday in Cornwall and WOW!
A great flat - lovely views and spotless.
The 'Perfect Pad'!
22 - 29 May 2010
It's easy to get around this corner of Cornwall without using your car.
Faultless!
Lovely restaurant on High Street, Olivers. Very good food, especially at lunch time.
A week of wonderful sunshine. Thank you.
This holiday was a treat for my 40th (gulp) birthday.
Weather mixed but a great flat to watch the world go by from. Comments - it's all been said before. Thanks and hope to come back some time.
A wonderful holiday here in Falmouth again. We love your amazing flat - so well designed and presented. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from taking most of our meals out on to the terrace but the view is spectacular whatever the weather. A memorable week. Thank you.
We are regular visitors to Falmouth, but previously with family - this is the first visit as a couple. Puffins has exceeded our expectations by miles - so, thank you for allowing us to share your lovely property. Quite fabulous. Comfy, cosy and still enjoying the advantages of Admirals Quay where we always stay anyway. We recommended The Hut as a good place to eat.
Visiting our son in Falmouth, a lovely stay, unbelievably good weather! Really enjoyed reading everyone's com-ments. Agree it is a delightful 'pad; waking up to that view bathed in sunshine after the long cold winter has been a tonic. The flat is so 'perfectly framed' & agree with all who've gone before us
In Falmouth for one week visiting my daughter in her final year at University having staying in Puffins 2 years ago and completely fallen in love with the location.
Once again we have had a lovely week.
This is a perfect location for us, being equidistant from the town center and the boat yard, where we are wintering our boat.
A very late booking.
A truly memorable week in this beautiful apartment. It was beyond our expectations and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you for a hassle free experience at Puffins.
A really lovely apartment.
Second visit this year, this time with a little better weather. Flat is so comfortable and convenient for mooching around Falmouth and is also very warm and cosy. Many thanks for lovely condition of flat and for tea tray, etc.
Many thanks for welcoming tea tray of goodies as well as a fresh bouquet of roses. Apartment has all the comforts of home as well as amazing view. One amazing sunrise best viewed upstairs thru the mirror. The all important weather has been mostly warm and sunny.
Thanks again for the use of your lovely flat. We felt so at home when we arrived this time. We spent a lot of the week with the family and had a few trips out as well. Hope to be back in the Spring.
Had a brilliant time. Apartment was still lovely as ever. Second half of the week weather has been great. The Hut is a brilliant place to eat - nicest steak in the world - and the Noodle Bar is definitely worth a visit too. Until next year.
A perfect apartment.
We are delighted with the apartment and the attention to detail, very comfortable.
What a lovely apartment.
Had a lovely week. Weather on and off but so much to see and do it didn't matter. Apartment is great with so many extras and great views. The Red Arrows were absolutely amazing. Will definitely come back.
Loved our stay at Puffins.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Falmouth is a very good base for exploring this part of Cornwall and Puffins is a lovely base in Falmouth. The weather prevented us from sitting out on the deck, but the view from the bed was probably even better.
Ditto for all previous good reviews. Everything thought out to 17th degree. Everything professionally finished. Week of mainly wet weather but still enjoyed Cornwall in all it's moods. Train trip to St.Ives is lovely day out. Hope to return.
Wow! The apartment is great. You've thought of everything. Had good weather most of the week, enjoyed boat trip to St Mawes. My only complaint was that we found it expensive to eat out. On saying that, would love to return. By far the best place we have stayed at.
PS The directions to your apartment were great, thanks.
Had a wonderful week (only one wet day). Thank you.
We've had a wonderful holiday here in your apartment. Everything has been perfect (even the weather). The location was even better than expected. The view is spectacular and always something to watch. There are so many different restaurants to try, I didn't bother to cook at all. We loved Harbour View (wonderful steak), Clarks (lovely belly pork special), Cribbs (Jerk chicken & banana). Listen to blues guitar with cocktails in the Tap Room. Used the ferry across and had stunning walk from Flushing along the coast. Not too far to drive to Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan which we did in a day.
We discovered Puffins on an internet search and wow what a discovery.
Really enjoyed our sunny week at Puffins. Lovely accommodation, view and great location. Appreciated flowers on arrival and beautiful bed linen. Super terrace, watered plants several times.
Our umpteenth stay with Cornish Holiday Cottages. One which we have thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you.
Wonderful location.
Thanks.
Have thoroughly enjoyed our week at Puffins. Everything here for our needs. Love the airiness of the apartment. Unfortunately weather not good enough to take advantage of the patio, but plants are thriving with all the rain. We will certainly be back as it is such a convenient location. Many thanks.
Great base to enjoy Cornwall from, particularly the gardens, Heligan, Trevano, etc. and the Maritime Museum.
We've had a lovely week.
As the owners we want to thank all our guests who have taken such marvellous care of Puffins - we are so glad you have enjoyed Puffins and Falmouth.
Indeed an excellent base for a visit to W.
We've had a lovely week here - flat has everything we want plus the view! Weather has improved daily. We're sorry to leave a day early but visiting a relative in Wiltshire on the way home. Pity our week coincided with maintenance, but has to be done - hope to return.
We have really enjoyed our week in this comfortable flat. The decor and views are excellent. We have been able to spend lots of time with our son and his family in Mylor. Thanks again for everything. We hope to come back soon.
We had a lovely week, the weather was fab!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Puffins. Lovely apartment with plenty of attention to detail. Views were lovely. Had some great walking and Puffins is in a fab spot for Falmouth pubs and restaurants.
Absolutely right for a few days in Falmouth - lovely views. Only problem was the price of eating out in Falmouth - exuberant to say the least. We travel a lot and can eat better and cheaper in London W1 or Paris. But we have enjoyed ourselves.
What a lovely place - every mod con, beautifully designed and such a lovely location for a New Year break.
Fantastic attention to detail - thank you very much !
Despite the weather thoroughly enjoyed the grandstand view of Falmouth Harbour and extremely well fitted out accommodation.
A very enjoyable holiday in a comfortable flat with fantastic views; even the weather has been lovely! Thoroughly recommend the ferries to St. Mawes & Truro and the local trip up the Helford River.
(Our thanks to Roy & Betty Brotherton for photos taken from Puffins during Tall Ships week. We've included two of them in the slideshow.)
We had a wonderful week at Puffins.
Lovely apartment - beautiful views - very enjoyable & relaxing holiday.
We've had a great time staying at Puffins - what a lovely place. Beautiful views and a great location. We have enjoyed walking into town, taking the ferry to St. Mawes and Flushing. It's been nice not have have to rely on the car all the time. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
We've had a brilliant time. It's been 15 years since our last visit so we spent much time searching out old haunts. We love your place - tasteful decor and beautiful views across the water and, close proximity to town - the perfect place to relax. I'm sure will be back again. Thanks.
PS Love the art work.
We have enjoyed a lovely relaxing week here at Puffins. The flat is very nice and just what we were looking for. Falmouth is a lovely town with some excellent restaurants. Shame it rained for the first four days - that is the English Weather for you!
Hope to return next year for 2 weeks. Enjoyable despite the weather. Flat lovely and well equipped.
P.S. Will always remember talking to the Prince of Wales on the Pier!!
Love what you have done with Puffins.

Our second visit to this flat and a big improvement in the decor and facilities.
Very much enjoyed our stay at Puffins. Weather has been lovely and our visit to local N.T. Gardens and to St.Mawes via ferry all came up to expectations. The apartment standard is very high with everything needed. Nice personal touch with flowers, biscuits etc. We hope to come this way for another holiday.
